Today we started off with a review of multiplication. We reviewed that "x" means groups of. We reviewed the method of drawing circles and things inside the circle. We reviewed that 3x2 = 2x3 and we also reviewed repeated addition. We then completed work booklet on multiplication. We also looked at divisioin as sharing things equally. 8 divided by 2 means we draw 8 things then count how many times we can circle groups of two.
We ended the Math period with some problem solving and multiple choice questions to review
concepts covered earlier in the year.
After recess we had a music lesson. We used the Smartboard to learn the different parts of an orchestra as we prepare for our visit to the TSO. The kids really liked the website. After recess we had DPA with Mr. Brutto. Emmanuel came to deliver the Roots of Empathy Program and we wrote wishes for baby Teagan and also wrote about our favourite part of the program. Next week, is our last visit from Vanessa and Baby Teagan.
After recess we worked on completing our timelines.
