I was at a workshop all day so there was a supply teacher in class today. From looking at their work the class did a lot of work.
We started off with Journal. After reading the responses, I was very impressed with the quality of writing today. It was some of the best overall writing I have seen so far this year. Most had good topic sentences with supporting detail related to the topic sentence. We still have some issues with spelling, but the overall structure of the writing is showing improvement.
Ms. Leung then had the class for DPA/Drama.
After recess, I had prepared a geometry review for students to work on and was easy for the supply teacher to deliver. She sent it home for homework, but I didn't suggest that. Oh well, I don't think it will hurt.
After lunch the children did some literacy activities. They completed a writing activity, and completed a work search related to pioneers ( Gr. 3) and cities around the world ( Gr. 2).
After recess, they students completed a review sheet on Medicine and Drugs. They also had to create a poster about what they had learned. Again the class did some great work. Maybe I should be away more often? lol.
HOMEWORK: Spelling due. Lesson 35 Gr. 2 Lesson 34 Gr.3.
