Today we continued our work on patterns. Some of us are getting really good at identifying changing attributes and indentifying the core. Many of us are able to identify more than one attribute changing in a pattern. Next week, we will create our own patterns with more than one attribute changing.
We continued to work on our Spelling lesson and have just about completed Lesson 1. We will have a test on Monday. We published one of our list poems in Writing Workshop.
We started to read the story "The Miraculous Journey of Eduard Tulane" by Kate DiCamillo. We talked about journeys we have taken, and our favourite toys.
After recess we completed an activity on hemispheres. We located the equator and prime meridian and also found that Canada is in the Northwestern Hemisphere.
We are collecting money for victims of the flood in Pakistan tomorrow. Any donation is accepted and appreciated and will be given to the Red Cross to assist those suffering as a result of the flood.
