Today we completed our daily temperature graph and were happy to see it above 25 C. We then used base-10 blocks to find the difference between the High and Low temperature of the day.
In Math, we switched groups and continued with the patterning and place-value activities from yesterday. Several students were able to build and sketch numbers in the hundreds!
In Music we divided into groups and decided on a sound. Then we composed a simple song using our invented sounds using pattern blocks as notes. It was quite funny to hear some of the sounds. We then wrote about our favourite instruments and why we like them.
We read another chapter of our novel. Eduard is now sitting face down at the bottom of the ocean in the mud. We looked at the illustrations that are used at the beginning of each chapter that help us predict what happens in that chapter.
We worked in our literacy groups today. We have four groups. Yellow, Blue, Green and Red.
Some read with the teacher, some worked on identifying complete sentences, some completed their penmenship and others got to finish any incomplete work. After recess, we worked on Lesson 2 in Spelling and then completed our homework books and agendas.
